We absolutely loved our lodge stay. The Lodge was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The view out of the lodge was so beautiful and peaceful. There were cows and sheep grazing on the hillside and horses in the field next to the lodges. There are three lodges in a row together surrounded by grass and wildflowers that you can exercise the dogs in. You just have to be mindful that this are is shared with other guests and their dogs too. The only thing that might be a downside for people is that it's in a remote location, this wasn't a problem for us. The views and the peacefulness were worth it

We spent 3 days at the Ewe during the Christmas holidays. The place is located in a beautiful private land with an amazing view on the woods and surrounding fields.The cabin is very clean and comfortable, and you can tell that a lot of thoughts has been put into decorating it. We really made the most of the firepit despite the cold weather. However, it is worth noticing that the cabin is NOT as private as advertised to be. The pictures and the descriptions can be quite misleading as it looks like you are going to be on your own with your private garden but the outdoor is actually shared with other 2 lodges. Unfortunately, we only found this out the day of arrival. We picked the Ewe because we have an anxious dog and we were excited about giving her a private access to the garden but that wasn't possible: one of the dogs from the neighbour lodges was roaming free, off lead and unsupervised and just kept coming in front of the cabin doorstep, running to our dog every time she was out, and therefore we couldn't make the most of the outdoor area. Having said that, I would definitely raccomend staying here because we really loved it and we had a wonderful time.

Had the most amazing stay at snittlegarth lodges, the lodges are in such a fantastic location, and it’s a real treasure to wake up and see the abundance of wildlife including the red squirrels. The walk to binsey from the lodges is a real treat, and the grounds are spectacular to walk around. The lodges are equipped with everything you could possibly need, such a lovely and cosey cabin to relax in. We had our 5 dogs with us and they had the best time. Overall we had the most amazing time and we already can’t wait to come back again.

Me, my kids and their grandparents have been coming to these lodges for the past 3 years and have visited numerous time in those years. We stay in the secluded cabins. The view is beautiful and the place itself is so peaceful. I would recommend for a getaway for anyone looking for somewhere to chill and relax 😊

We had a wonderful 3 night stay with our two dogs. You really are fully removed from the hussle and bussle of every day life and that was exactly what we were looking for! The Ewe is very quirky, finished to a very high standard, very well equipped and In a beautiful corner of the uk. The only reason I couldn’t give 5 stars is because the enclosed garden is a shared garden with two other lodges which we did not find out about until the day before we were due to arrive. The enclosed garden was the main reason to choose Snittlegarth as one of our dogs is very anxious with other dogs so sharing the garden with two dogs was a disappointment for us and meant we couldn’t fully de stress the way we had hoped. Anyone with an anxious dog will fully understand. This said I would absolutely recommend The Ewe if you are looking to escape and relax .
