Our Lodges

Snittlegarth Luxury Lodges are located on a working farm in a small, private development, just for you, your loved ones and nature. It’s A haven for wildlife, as well as the farm animals. Snittlegarth is home to roe deer, badgers, foxes, pheasants and a variety of songbirds, with red squirrels coming up to the lodges to feed. The original Snittlegarth Estate was owned by Lord Gillford and extended to 12,000 acres. It is now farmed on a smaller scale and has the benefit of local footpaths Binsey Fell and beyond.

Lodge Yan

Lodge Tyan

With beautiful views of Binsey, Snittlegarth lies in a great location and a truly tranquil valley close to Ireby and Uldale on the northern fringe of the Lake District National Park. Tyan, meaning “Two” in Cumbrian, has fabulous balcony views of cattle and native Cumbrian Herdwick sheep in the fields infront.

Lodge Tethera

Tethera means three in Cumbrian which is a dialect that is still widely used across Cumbria and has several variations depending on the area of Cumbria, it is mainly used by farmers especially in the hills and fells of our wonderful county. We are in a quiet location within the Lake District surrounded by farm animals however in a short reach of the hustle and bustle of Keswick.
